Project & Venue Manager

I bring a wealth of experience in project and venue management gained through years of leadership and hands-on involvement in a variety of environments.
As CEO of the SAVVY Studio at Fairfield Halls for six years, I played a key role in devising and implementing the venue’s policies, procedures, and operational strategies, while also supporting the wider venue following its multi-million-pound refurbishment.
Post pandemic I successful achieved the Good to Go and See It Safely Kite Marks, gained the London Youth Quality Mark (Bronze Level) accreditation for the SAVVY Studio, demonstrating best practice as a venue-based organisation.
Additionally, I have collaborated with multiple partners over the years to create pop-up venues, site-specific events, and ensured the smooth delivery of projects in a variety of settings.
I have extensive experience managing teams, retaining staff, overseeing transparent recruitment processes, writing and implementing policies, leading on safeguarding, fostering a positive workplace culture, and managing day-to-day operations. I have been responsible for contract negotiations, HR, and ensuring compliance with industry regulations.
My skills also include designing marketing resources, creating websites and social media strategies. As an experienced bid writer and grant manager, I have successfully secured funding and maintained fiscal responsibility, including budgeting, bookkeeping and strategic financial planning.
I have a proven track record on monitoring impact, audience development and delivering diverse programmes – and I have even (when needed) vacuumed the carpets and cleaned the toilets!
During my tenure as Artistic Director & CEO of SAVVY Theatre (2007-2024), I led a team of core staff and freelance artists, producing and project managing a wide range of productions, with off-site venue management for multiple projects, ensuring health & safety compliance at a range of venues including parks, art galleries, rivers, boats and even the top of the iconic Croydon Clocktower!
