Training & Consultancy

100_3851.jpg

I regularly lead training sessions for artists, cultural organisations and businesses of all sectors, on inclusive practise, working with challenging behaviour and facilitating safe spaces.

I've had the privilege of being invited as a guest speaker on a range of topics such as inclusive practice, women as leaders and the challenges for people from working class and marginalised backgrounds on gaining opportunities within the arts. Over the years, I’ve shared my insights with a variety of organisations including the Shakespeare Schools Festival, Action for Children's Arts, the International Inclusive Arts Network, Blue Apple, Face Front, Hijinx, the Participatory Arts London (PAL) Network, and with Emory PhD students at Notre Dame University in the U.S.

As an early advisor for Croydon’s successful bid for London Borough of Culture, I played a key role in establishing SAVVY Theatre as the lead organisation for d/Deaf and Disabled Arts during the year-long programme, and I remain a strong advocate for the importance of theatre in the 21st century - particularly at a grassroots level (where I believe real, transformative change happens).

In my consulting work, I’ve collaborated with local councils, businesses, and arts organisations such as the Theatre’s Trust and the Mayor’s Culture Team, focusing on strategies to protect and secure the future of cultural venues in outer London boroughs. I believe that vibrant local spaces are essential to fostering creativity, connection, and community.
